The past thirty days have been ... a wonderful challenge.
It was hard to pick up my camera everyday. Not to take a picture, but to realize that not every picture I take with it needs to be portrait quality. If the light isn't absolutely perfect it's ok. Or if there's stuff in the background it's ok. Or if the clothes aren't cute it's ok. Because I found that I love those moments and those images just as much as the 'perfect' ones. And I found that those beautiful images tell the story of our life. And it's the story I want. The REAL story. Not just the monthly picture perfect moments, but the loud, crazy, spontaneous moments. Because aren't those the moments that really make up our life? And it's the messiness that is so beautiful to me. The unexpected messiness.
So - conclusions are:
I think it's something I need to do every year. Because I grew. And that was the point.
And expect to see a lot more messiness here on the blog! Because it's also something I would like to continue although not everyday!
